Ok so I've been searching google for a new/used digital baby grand pianos. They all seem amazing but two of them is a brand I've haven't heard of and i have no idea if they're any good.
Roland Kr1077 Intelligent Digital Piano
Roland HPi-6F Digital Piano
Medeli Digital Grand 1000 Piano
Cameron & Sonstm CSM-41D baby grand digital piano
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Welcome to Piano World!

I think you meant to post this on the digital piano forum...

I'll move it there for you.

Good luck!

I would stay away from the Medeli and Cameron and stick to the better known brands. The others tend to be cheaper and this is reflected in the sound and action.

Buying second-hand or used is OK, but check each and every key at different dynamic levels. Also check with power off or volume down to see if there are any unusual clicks or rubbing or looseness.

I wonder why you want a baby digital grand? When new they tend to be overinflated in price, and lacking functions, compared to standard DP's.

So,
the choices for you are Kawai CS series, and Rolands and Yamahas in polished ebony.
I personally think, the best looking DP's are with no doubt the Kawais CS, you have a very nice looking piano and great action and sound, with only a slight margin on the premium look.

If you really really want to have a grand shape, buy the Yamaha CLP 465GP.
But - take into consideration, that this is simply the Clavinova 430 in the grand cabinet, for which you are paying 150% more.

Just to add to kapelli's list of nice looking cabinet digital piano's, you could include the Roland LX15 and Yamaha NU1. All these including the CS are upright forms. Roland also have the RG series of baby grand cabinets, and others. Since they are recent models they may be out of your budget? But there were predecessors so a patient craigslist search may be fruitful.

I've never heard of Medeli. Based on the video, the sound is pretty "digital" sounding. I can't speak for the feel or the quality of the brand. If you're going to spend that kind of money, though, you can do much better with Yamaha or Kawai.

I believe it's important to identify your priorities for such an instrument:

- Do you wish for it to look visual impressive, as a piece of furniture (aka 'Piano Shaped Object')? If so, any no-name Chinese digital grand will be fine.

- Do you wish for it to play and sound like an acoustic piano? If so, your money will be more wisely spent on a standard (i.e. non-grand) console digital piano from a reputable brand.

Best of luck with your search!

Kind regards,
James
