Just got Galaxy Vintage D during the current Best Service 2 for 1 deal (ending tomorrow).

Have some questions about the installation from the DVD. In the manual in mentions Installers for both Kontakt player and the library. All I can see is the Kontakt setup exe not an installer for the library. The manual shows an Installaware wizard from where you can choose where to install the Vintage D library. I don't know how to start that wizard from the DVD.

I don't need to install Kontakt from the disc as I already have the full version. Not sure what else to do apart from maybe choose to send the Vintage D library from the DVD to my computer then start the service center to authorize. Didn't wanna mess anything up though.

How did everyone else with this do it?

I have now just sent the Vintage D library to the my documents section where my other sample libraries are.
On the DVD there was a 2nd PDF guide I saw about adding libraries to Kontakt which just says to drag the sample library from the disc to the desired location.

It seems to work just fine. Not sure what the stuff in the manual about the Vintage D library installer and wizard were about though. Is that outdated info?

It's been quite a while since I installed Vintage D. But if memory serves, I just copied its files into a folder. Then in Kontakt I clicked on Add Library, navigated to that folder, and clicked on ... hmmm ... I cannot remember which subfolder I clicked on. But try the Instruments subfolder. I think that's the one.

Then VD will appear in the left-side bar of the Kontakt windows.

Yes that is exactly what I ended up doing and it seems to be fine. Just needed to activate it via the service center as well. That's what I've done before with other sample libraries too when I've just downloaded them. The manual confused me because I couldn't go by the method laid out there.

This is the manual
http://www.bestservice.de/demo_files/00002107.pdf
I can't do what it recommends there but I suppose that doesn't actually matter.

What MacMacMac said. It doesn't matter where you place the library as long as you point Kontakt to it so it knows where it is. And yes, the instruments folder is where the .nki's are.
