Well after much research, we finally took the plunge and bought our first piano. We debated new vs. old and upright vs. baby grand. In the end we went with a new Yamaha P660 in Walnut. My wife wanted a wood cabinet style, since it will be prominently displayed in our home. We will get our new piano on Monday. Thanks for all the advice.

Congratulations. The P660 I played was a nice piano. You'll get a lot of enjoyment out of it, for sure.

Congratulations on your new piano. Pictures are part of the tradition and pictures of the delivery are really fun. It let's us all enjoy and remember the excitement when we had our pianos delivered. We all wish you many happy hours of playing your new "baby".

I think there's an insurance commercial that shows a guy and his car, but instead of a car, there's a big adorable smiling baby in the driveway, the garage, the grocery store parking lot, etc.

I'm pretty protective about my vehicle, but not nearly as obsessive as I am about my piano.
