Recently I had an opportunity to visit Woodfab's shop and look at some of his piano work.

I was pleasantly surprised at the very good attention to detail and execution of his work.

I am referring to a small Kimball grand piano he has put a new pin block in, restrung and refinished.

Well done Dan!

Hi Larry...long time no hear from,

Speaking of which(whom)...Woodfab that is...I'm just getting ready to build a pin block rig modeled, at least to a degree after Woodfab's get-up, as we speak. Was just about to search that old post as you posted this.

(just kidding)

Thanks Larry,

Larry dose a great job on every aspect of the piano from building and a sound board to a complete action re-build.
It's been so generous of him to share some of his knowledge with me.

Hello Jim, If you want any info on the (pin block rig) I am glad to share what I've done.
I found it to work quite well.

Hello OperaTenor, On the seven pianos I've cut up I practiced a lot of different repairs on them before cutting them up, No regrets.
