It's Fun to Play the Piano ... Please Pass It On!
I'm in a music rut after playing too many Christmas songs. Any suggestions for intermediate to early advanced level pieces that are short and dramatic? Easy to master, not too technical?
Without knowing what level you can play, this is tough. How about Rustles of Spring? It only really has two major technical difficulties in the whole piece: arpeggios and chromatics. And it's very repetitive.
Every day we are afforded a new chance. The problem with life is not that you run out of chances. In the end, what you run out of are days.
It's easy, believe me. And it has very high impact in the second part.
That's really great thanks! Downloading the music now.
It's hard to judge what level I'm at. I'm a returning adult as of October who can't play at the advanced level I left off at in college. I'm polishing Chopin's Nocturne op 72 that I performed in high school and it's taking forever. What I'm looking for now, difficulty-wise, is something like Dustin O'Halloran's Op 28. It looks like Nyman's piece is great.
