Ummmmm, I don't want to upset you or come across as being harsh, but there's no lesson in this video and nothing on "how to practice" this song, which is contrary to the title of the video and implication that this is a "jazz lesson."

Michael, you seem to have a knack of criticizing jazz piano video tutorials from others. First Dave Frank now Mark. Is there a reason for this?

When it comes to discussions of Giant Steps and some of the great versions that are out there and how to play it, well, I'm all ears.

Other than that, this particular video seems very apt (for some).

Also apropos, from Ludwig Wittgenstein (philosopher):

Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent.

LW's brother Paul was one of the great pianists of his day despite the fact that he lost an arm in WWI.



It seems to me that the statement that prompted (brother) Wind to post is so off-base, confused, misguided, etc. that it doesn't merit a reply or a response.

I've probably said too much already.
