Hi to all, i'm from Argentina, i have been playing piano for 10 years now and i almost play classical music. I have a Kawai K3 and in two months i will be in Spain and i'm going to buy a Casio PX-5S so i wanna know what is the best sustain pedal out there to buy and use with it.

What about the CASIO SP-20? Will be fine?

I saw to a M-Audio, a Yamaha FC4(And FC3), a Roland, etc.

Thanks all.

Hi nazanone,

M-Audio, Yamaha, and Roland all make good pedals. I've had good luck with the Roland DP-10, personally.

If you are primarily a classical player, you might want to consider whether you require support for half-pedaling in a digital instrument before making a final purchase decision. Some players care a lot about this feature; others, not so much.

The Casio PX-5S does not directly support half-pedaling on its pedal inputs, although there is a fairly simple way to implement half-pedaling on that keyboard using an external MIDI controller.

There has been some discussion on this subject in this forum over the last year or so. You might want to search previous threads for more information, starting with:

Kind regards,
