Hi piano world users!

My name is Harrison Sheckler and I am a 17 year old aspiring classical pianist. I am including a link to a video of me performing Chopin's Etude in C sharp minor Op. 10 No. 4. I'm open to anyone's critique. Thank you for your time!!! smile

My jaw dropped when I saw how easy this piece seems for you. I listened to a few of the other pieces on your YouTube site and was very impressed by all of them from both a technical and musical standpoint.

I bet your non classical music loving friends(and those that like classical also) love the Airshow Acrobatics piece.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I really appreciate it. This Chopin Etude is so much fun to play smile
I learned Airshow Acrobatics in 2010 for a masterclass with Kevin Olson, the composer. He was really cool and it was a pleasure performing for him. smile Glad you enjoyed it! I'll be posting more YouTube videos in the future. smile

Bravo !!!
This was great.
Especially considering the environment.

But, what is that you are doing at 1:45?

Please don't do it, please.

I checked out your YouTube channel and watched your performance of Liszt's Mephisto Waltz. Excellent!

You need to work on keeping a steady tempo.

Huh! I am surprised.

It was more like a caricaturized version.

I had the chance to play the Mephisto Waltz as a duet. My duet partner and I were MTNA national duet finalists last year. Exciting piece to perform! smile

Well done, though I must say, I think I would hate to play in this setting!

The bass is really heavy in this recording, for whatever reason. Maybe because the camera is on that side of the piano? I could hardly hear the right hand in some parts.

I thought this was well executed overall. Very fast yet fluid, articulated musically throughout.

I am excited how you manage to play such a difficult piece in a mall!!
It sound great overall and I am sure you can also make it to play with your right hand alone the ending as well, this will make it more acceptable to academic listener.
Wish to hear on stage as we'll

Thank you Saffet for commenting! I believe I have some concerts coming up so I'll be able to post a new recording soon. :)I'll also work out that last line with just right hand as I do agree that it is more acceptable to an academic listener. Thank you for watching!
