Pianos were made at Milton Keynes where I took the opportunity to attend a piano teachers' seminar about 12 years ago and which included a guided tour around the factory. Both Yamaha and Kemble upright pianos were manufactured on the same production line. Following their part financial interest in Kemble, Yamaha subsequently acquired full control and ultimately closed the Milton Keynes factory moving production to Japan. rk Music Teacher (Piano/Theory/Musicianship)
