HANON IN DIFFERENT KEYS--WHAT ABOUT FINGERINGS?

I notice that many have self-transposed Hanon into different keys. When doing this does one keep the same fingerings as posted for the original key of C. Seems as if some of the more advanced exercises require different fingerings from a smoothness standpoint. I've tried some and keeping the same C fingerings seems pretty impossible. Any suggestions/opinions will be appreciated.

The C fingerings work for everything - the trick is figuring out how to make them comfortable. You can't accomplish it with brute force, it takes some thought and flexibility.

Thanks on this. No brute force--a good suggestion.
