Here is an exercise I wrote past season. We where working on 6/8 and this Key, and had to write some easy phrases in the question/response scheme.
It ended up being something more, and I hope to develope it whenever I can, this course.
Wrote with musescore and saved as an mp3. Instruments where choosen just picking the better sounding ones. The soundfont is not very good.

How much time did you spend working out the notes here? It sounds like you're approximating the harmonic structure you're aiming at in some parts but not quite getting it. Is this true? If so, spend more time so you can get it just right.

Well, I spent a good week, perhaps, writting when my job allowed me to. It's harmonized by ear (I'm just in my third solfege course). And, to be honest, I wasn´t aiming at any structure (which is a fault, I know now) but letting the ideas to take form.
It should be taken as a draft in wich I put some ideas toghether to see if they work. As the first goal was to write something playable during a lesson, it tends to be easy.
Hope I'll find the time and energy to improve it this year.

I think you had some nice ideas....at the very beginning I heard a Baroque sound.....although the instruments are not pure so that can be hard to compare. What I didn't care for was 2 things. Your texture was pretty much the same throughout and the thickness of it I think took away from hearing a nice melody line. Also, your velocity was pretty much the same. Looking at the sound waves you would know that without even hearing it. I think the human ear needs more highs and lows. But if you are a beginner, as I think it states, overall I would say pretty good.
