Can someone confirm if this wire will work for my casio ap-620 for line out to rca?

http://www.amazon.com/Hosa-Cable-CP...sr=8-5&keywords=line+out+mono+to+rca

I believe the line out is a mono out from both sides.

Question, what happens if I get a headphone large stereo out adapter and stick one of these RCA ends to my AUX, will it also work?

http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Audio-...sr=8-1&keywords=line+out+mono+to+rca

Thanks in advance.

I'm no audio engineer so I don't know too much about the technical stuff but I've used the line out on my Casio PX-850. Both of those cables will work, just depends on what you are trying to connect to.

The first one with the dual 1/4 mono to rca cable would be used to connect from your digital piano to say an audio interface or home audio reciever for example. If you already have a stereo rca cable (usually color coded red and white) then all you need to buy are the 1/4 mono to rca adapters.

The second cable with the stereo 3.5mm to 2 rca you would need to buy 2 of the 1/4 mono to rca adapters to be able to plug into the line out from the digital piano. The 3.5mm stereo end you can plug it into the line in of your computer if you want to use the computer to record audio. This is the setup I use when I want to record audio from digital piano to the computer.

If I am reading it right I think you are asking if you get a 1/8 to 1/4 stereo converter will it work. This would be an adapter you use if you want to plug a pair of headphones that are 1/8 into something that is 1/4. It should be still be able to plug into the line out. If only plugging in one side then left (should be labeled on there) would be mono. You can go to Radio Shack or any electronics stores to get to get all these cables and adapters. Hope that helps.

It looks like the answer to your question is YES. I have a similar line out configuration on my Casio AP-45 and it works as you are planning.

A quick glance at the manual suggests that the 1/4" line outputs are left/mono and right. If both are used, each carries the full left or right output.

If only the l/Mono is used, the output is a mono mix of left and right.
