For some time I have been trying to figure out a way to mount my camera high while making piano videos like some of you do so nicely here. My regular tripod does not work for this.

I was very excited when I found the perfect solution for a mobile phone camera. I will share it here in case some of you are also looking for something along these lines. Here is my new set-up:

Thank you for posting this!!! I just made a thread, then I scrolled down and saw this. I'm gonna look for an iPad adaptor instead of a smart phone. But this is perfect!

Prices seems to have come down. Adapters like this I think used to be $50+ a while back! Good find!

I use a mike stand as well. I leave the "pincher" style mike holder on.
Then I drilled a 1/4 inch hole thru a cork. (Now it looks like a pipe made out of cork) I pushed a 3 x 1/4 inch bolt through this hole. I mounted the camera of the remaining threads of the bolt. Then I simply grab the cork with the pincher.

Rhythm & Chords, it's what I do.

Farmerjones, that is a great way of using a regular mic stand without any adapters! Great playing too and I really like the sound mix of your piano here!

Is there a way to buy these products "On Stage CM01 Video Camera/Digital Recorder Adapter" and "On Stage Stands MS7701 Tripod Boom Microphone Stand" in Europe (because Amazon says it cannot ship these items to my address (by the way, to Slovakia) )?

Amaruk, thank you very much for that Boom stand link on Amazon.uk.

And by the way, do you know some similar product to CM01, which is available in europe?

Peter,
I think that adapter you found is identical to the CM01 (just renamed). Good find!

It's a digital piano, so the distance to the wall isn't very critical.

Hi Amaruk,
unfortunately, the stand from Amazon.uk could not be sent to me (to Slovakia), so it is the same problem as with Amazon.com.

Do you know some other internet shops in Europe, where I could buy it?
