I am struggling with determining the best fingering when learning a piece. I consider myself a late beginner. Specifically, my question is this: on right hand when playing a G or A note and my hand is on a position to use my middle finger, by depressing the key the adjoining black keys also move. Should I angle my hand more or try using my index finger when possible?

My middle finger moves independently but won't fit within the space without touching the adjoining black keys.

I see now. Yeah, I also got this problem, my fingers are kinda large. But so were Beethoven's, Rubinstein's and Arrau's, among others.
when I was playing on my old Yamaha DGX-620, I got them stuck here and there. I used to tilt the fingers to minimize the problem but not a good idea on fast passages. Now I got a Casio PX-850 and it's got a bit more room between keys so my fingers slip in more naturally.
So, if you're not planning buying a new piano, you could try either using some product on your fingers so to make them slip in easily or you should adjust your playing such that you never go between black keys. I heard some people with large fingers who did just that. I believe they pull their arms a bit away when playing white keys and then go over the black keys only when needed.

Everytime you mention that damn Casio, I get the urge to buy one . . .but tbh I`m not managing badly on my 630, so I`m waiting for Casio`s next product!

Doritas puts it well. Some pianos are a bit tight round the black keys. I noticed Horowitz plays piano with claw like hands. Doesn`t look too pretty, but he`s rather good at it! I`ve been tryin` the same. . . .

Nice to hear the 850 has larger keys. I take it the 150 has the same keys? They are all full size now? I've been using an old entry level Casio of mine. Having to sort out a problem with my M8000. That old entry level keyboard has smaller keys. Like playing a toy.

My middle finger moves independently but won't fit within the space without touching the adjoining black keys. Very very very few people have fingers that are too large to fit between the keys. To clarify, do you mean they literally won't fit, or they fit but they strike neighboring notes?

The PX-x50 keyboards are identical, and use full-size keys. Casio is running with the Big Boys, now.<g> I suspect that the current Casio synths -- the "WK" and "XW" series -- also use full-size keys. But those keyboards aren't "weighted" -- they're touch-sensitive synth keyboards. . Charles
