After a long wait, our pianos are finally moved in! They are a Young Chang 6'1" grand which I have had since 2003, and a Charles R. Walter 5'9" grand which my husband and I just purchased in August.
Our set-up is a little odd as we didn't have space to put the pianos side-by-side or dove-tailed together, but hey, it works. And it's better than our previous set-up which was just one electric keyboard in an apartment!
The pianos are slightly out of tune with each other right now, but their tones blend beautifully and sound great in the room. You can't see in the pictures, but the room has a very high ceiling (probably over 20' high at the tallest point). We were happy with our choice to put rugs under the pianos. Their sound definitely fills the room, but the volume is not unpleasant or painful. I was especially impressed with how much better the Young Chang sounded than it did in my parents' living room, which was carpeted and had two large couches in it.
I'll attempt to post a few pictures below. They aren't all the greatest quality, and the Young Chang's glossy finish picked up a lot of fingerprints during the move! Still, you'll get the general idea!
