Hi,

When I play loud chords on my new grand piano, sometimes, another pitch will be heard, and will continue resonating, even without me touching the keys and pedals. Any ideas? frown

Sometimes movers will inadvertently knock the sustain dowel (or related part)cattywampus when reattaching the lyre, creating too much sustain. The dealer should take care of this for you.

To add to Bob's post; could also be the pedal rods are not installed correctly. Either they got switched around during moving or they are not resting all the way down at the back of the pedal. Sound like the middle pedal is being slightly actuated which will make the sostenuto catch an occasional note.

Sounds like a very easy fix. A small dowell is simply wedged out of place, leaving the dampers unable to properly dampen the strings.
