This Saturday night, don't miss Adam Sherkin as he kicks off his concert season with a free, casual Gala party.

The event is being held at the St. Lawrence Centre (Jane Mallett Theatre) with the doors opening at 7pm. At 8pm, Mr. Sherkin will perform an abbreviated recital with tidbits of what is in store for his solo performances this season.

Naturally the upcoming 2013-14 recital concerts will be performed on a concert grand, but the Gala this Saturday night will be somewhat more of an intimate and casual affair, and will feature Adam Sherkin performing on a Steingraeber grand piano which includes a carbon fibre soundboard (The Phoenix System).

Yes, it has been a couple months since I have last logged on. It is always a busy time toward the end of summer, technicians are wrapping up their summer rebuilding jobs (so our bass string business is quite busy) and last minute preparations for upcoming concerts with Steingraeber pianos for the 2013-14 season are all being finalized.

It is all good.
