Kathy and I have been working hard repairing and remodeling our new (to us) home in Maine, and now we feel like
it's ready enough to invite guests. Part of the reason we purchased this house was because it gives us some room to entertain (and plenty of parking).

Mr PianoWorld Estonia in Maine

We can't wait to Host Our First Piano Party in our new home!

This is also a welcome to our home.

We are located on Moulton Hill Road in Parsonsfield Maine, considered southern Maine ( southwest).
While our house is up in the hills, it's really only about an hour to the Maine coast (Wells, Ogunquit, Portland), or about the
same to North Conway New Hampshire (and the Kancamangus highway).

There are lots of incredible scenic views all around our area, starting at the top of our hill (we're about half way up), with many more within a few minutes drive.

The party is Sunday October 13th, starting around 1:30 p.m. and ending (?!).
This should be right around peak foliage time in our area. I can't
begin to describe how beautiful it is up here, the mountain vistas are breath taking! We are surrounded by lakes and ponds, apple orchards, and beautiful woods/forests.

The Visit Maine website has tons of listings of things to do and see in and around our area. Here is a direct link to their fall listings.
Maine in the Fall

Hotels near us, keep in mind it is Columbus Day Weekend and foliage time, so book early.

Also, here are some places in the area (if you don't mind a little drive, you might find more open nearer the coast)...

Jeremiah Mason House

MT. Whittier Motel

Sanford, ME (40-45 minutes from us)
207-324-2160

Oakwood Inn & Motel
945 Main St
Sanford, ME
207-324-2160

We would like to get some idea of how many people might join us for our party.

If you feel you would like to come, please let us know (and let us know if you will be bringing additional guests with you).

Also, if you are within driving distance and can help out with the food/libations, please let us know that too (Pot Luck).

We will also be coming up with a list of places to stay in the area, should any of you decide to travel, combining the piano party with a chance to see the foliage, mountains, lakes, rivers, antique shops, etc.

PLEASE LET US KNOW if you will be coming, if you are bringing any guests, and if you will be bringing some food/drink.

You can email me at frank@pianoworld.com , please put Party at Mr. PianoWorld's in the subject line, so your email doesn't get lost in the shuffle.

See you on October 13th!

Hello Frank,

Sounds great, can we play your piano?

We can help out with food but I'm not sure what libations are.

My wife and I are looking into some lodging.

Sorry you can't make our party, but please do come by some time.
We're always happy to have someone visit to play and/or listen to the piano.

And Kirby the wonder dog loves company :-)

Frank--won't be able to make it, but the scenery will be great. We have some raw land in New Hampshire, about an hour and a half from you. I thought a glimpse of the scenery in October might entice some visitors for you:

Thanks LFL, pretty picture.

We've taken a lot of rides in the areas around our home, we know there are tons of beautiful mountains and lakes, with lots of maple trees. Can't wait for fall.

Sorry you can't make our party, but let us know if/when you are in the area.

And if you ever decide to host your own piano party with that Shigeru Kawai, be sure to let us know :-)

Hi Les,

That's great!
Looking forward to meeting you. We'll do our best with the foliage.

Depends on what you like for accomodations. There is a wonderful B&B about an hour from us in North Berwick Maine, called Angel of the Berwicks. It is a beautiful Victorian house, and the hosts are just wonderful people.

Plus, they have a baby grand piano! The house is only about a 20 minute ride to Wells and Ogunquit, home of the Maine Diner (fantastic lobster pie) and Pizza Napoli (best pizza this side of Italy).
http://www.angeloftheberwicks.com/

If you decide to go, tell Ben & Sally we sent you.
Ben makes the best muffins ever, fresh and different every morning.

If B&B isn't your thing, let me know and we'll come up with some other places in the area.

We are actually somewhat central between the Portland Maine area and North Conway NH.
Speaking of which, the Kancamagus Highway in NH is an amazing ride for scenery, as is route 153 (which you can pick up about 20 minutes from our house).

Just posted as a reminder to old coffee room friends over at WTF (well tempered forum)

Finally can commit to it as other business engagement date changed.

Looking forward to seeing your new place, playing your new Estonia, and meeting old friends and new.

Hi, Frank! I'm planning on being there and I'd be happy to bring something to satisfy the munchies. Let me know if there's anything specific you'd like me to bring.
