What a nonsense post; "everybody" knows it was Moe's Art.

"My One And Only Love" in F (I have this chart in F) and here's a different take on it:

I don't know the answer to the question in this thread, but I sure am enjoying all the music samples!

Best wishes-

Worth considering Brad Mehldau in this list too. A very unique voice.

My favourite song, hence the nickname.

This song was written by pianist Russell Freeman, who I have talked about in this thread, and I also started another thread to talk more about.

By the way, the link someone else posted - Joe Sample "one and only love - ... that's nice.

Michael: As an Ahmad Jamal fan, I took a spin on Crystal, which is fortunately available on Spotify. I'm not sure whether Keith Jarrett fans will dig it, but what an amazing album. Just a fantastic group of originals. The band members were unknown to me, but they are fantastic.

As a side note, I love how he uses a percussionist, like the recent Chick Corea concert I saw, where he also had both a drummer and a percussionist. I'd love someday to play with both a drummer and a percussionist.

Cool, glad you like it. Jamal's piano work on that album is superb.

Years ago, I was in a reggae band, and we had both a drummer and a conga player (who also doubled as a flute player), which really added to our sound. Being of Latin blood myself, more percussion is always better in my opinion smile

You know who is another great pianist is the guy who plays with Esperanza Spalding. I believe he's from Brazil or somewhere in S. America.

keith jarrett is a dick, but I think he's the best, allthough, kinda dislika the ecm productions - the "pristine" sound - I'd like some more grease
