Oddly enough, my favorite bench is a Jensen stool-type one. Currently, it's my computer chair and serves me well, but it was a good piano bench too. My K3 has an artist's bench, which is nice, but gets kinda uncomfortable after a while, but it is a good bench nonetheless.

Congratulations on your new piano arriving safely. It's beautiful and I wish you many happy years playing and listening to it. I love my C3 and I'm sure you'll be thrilled when your tech has tuned and regulated your new baby.

UPDATE

I just got my piano back after having the action rebuilt with new hammers (the good german ones) and shanks. My technician spent the last couple days installing the action, voicing and regulating.

I was excited about this piano when I bought it. But I honestly never thought I would have an instrument as amazing as it is now .. I'm having such a love affair with this piano!! It has the prettiest pianissimo, even in the bass notes (which I've found pretty harsh in other yamaha grands).

I really really really wanted a new CX-3, but the 45K price tag was a big turn-off. Including the rebuild, I've now spent 15K on this piano, and it totally sounds as good as the CX-3! I'm so happy!

Lady Chen,

I must have missed this post, so a late congrats on your piano. I can't believe what a great deal you managed, including the rebuild. that's just astounding!

What I really like hearing is that it all worked out and you're blown away. That's what it's all about. It also sounds like you created a piano that matches the CX and at a fraction of the price. That really sweetens the pot. Congrats again, this was obviously meant to be.....blob
