BDB Yikes! 10000 Post Club Member B Joined: Jun 2003 Posts: 32,060 Oakland	I once had a piano where some mover had stapled a card to the top of a lyre before putting it on, and that kept it from sliding. We damaged it pretty badly before we got the lyre off. It only takes a little obstruction to jam lyres in place. Semipro Tech

You have to hit the top of lyre in front with your hand or a rubber hammer (use protection not to damage the wood) to get it to slide back. The legs have the cams as well.
