Hi there I am trying to track down the history of my C. Bechstein Piano. I know it's a long shot but worth a try.

It is C Series 6'6" grand serial number 54751 which according to the C. Bechstein website was built in 1900. On the inside of the lid behind the key hole is a stamp, M. Arnold Ltd, 28 Molton St. London which I take to be either the original distributor of the piano in England or a re-seller. I am trying to locate whatever information I can about this company and/or any records pertaining to my piano.

Also contacting C. Bechstein to see what info they may have.

If you can assist me or point me in the right direction that would be most helpful.

On a side note, it is interesting that there are signatures on different parts of the wood on this piano. Is this common on such pianos?
