And you can just claim expressiveness - heaven forbid there were any hesitations And seriously, you played with great care, and that's a good thing - if there were nerves they didn't get in the way. I love your rendition of Yesterday, Mr. Square! You're doing very well for four months.

I am thinking about taking on the quarterly recital as well, despite not having anything truly "ready". I spent two hours trying to record my Grieg today without luck, but hopefully will get a clean take tomorrow. After that I would have time to work something simple up for the recital, I think. I just have no idea what!

Bravo Mr Square! The ipad does a great job. I shall have to try myself since i'm technically,and keyboard, challenged - but ipads are easier!

Your playing is good for four months. Can't criticize.
You might think about setting your stool higher. Get your elbows a little higher. ???
I would try to set up a sound deadener against that wall. Think about thick drapes for the patio door. The bouncing echo's aren't swift.

Good stuff Mr Square! In another 4 months you`ll be surprised how far you`ll have come. What you`ve got here is methodical and rudimentary. That`ll give way to dexterity and fluency! Have fun!

Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement. I started working that song about a week and a half ago. My instructor went to Europe for a few weeks and in his absence I got bored... So I added this one to the mix.

My first video for PW. Bach - Prelude in C+. I recorded it twice, one is in slower tempo and another is faster. Let me know which one you like more, or both suck. I personally like the slower one as I was more into the music that day, but a friend of mind like the faster one somehow.

About myself, I have been learning piano for more than 2.5 years and luckily passed the RCM grade 4 with an honors a year ago. (although my sight-reading and listening skills are pretty bad!)

Both sounded lovely. As far as speed goes, that's one of those where my tempo preference depends on my mood Today I liked the fast one, but ask me again tomorrow, and I might tell you something else!

Here is my first recording of serious note. A little piece from Piano Marvel call Satin Gloves. This was a first take since this is Ecco Fatto. No bum notes but lots of little mistakes with accents etc.

Its recorded using a Roland Fantom X8 on piano mode with UltimateGrand. Recorded using Sonar and converted to MP3 with Audacity.
