Hi,

Can someone tell me the name of the piece that he's playing?

no idea but I don't like the way it sounds. Not the playing but the instrument. The piano sounds tinny

I believe he recorded it with his camera's built-in audio recorder; not through midi/usb. It does make quite a difference.

He's using the Kawai ES7; which I just bought. I can only say that the ES7 is really an excellent digital piano. You need to play it and listen/feel in person.

If you are interested, I posted my ES7 impressions here - https://www.pianoworld.com/forum/ubb...S7%20vs%20Yamaha%20P155.html#Post2100077

The playing is no good either, come to that. And for the OP: Try the Non Classical forum. This is some kind of New Age trash, and I doubt very many Classical musicians will be able to identify it.

This is the "Adult Beginners Forum", correct? Maybe I am lost.

I don't recognize it, but it is very pretty. I tried SoundHound on it with no hits as well. I hope you find out the name so I can find out what it is. smile If I had to guess, I'd say it was an anime piece.

p.s. to Polyphonist: AB forum has a lot of fans of new age music (myself included), probably as many as there are classical fans. And AB forum gets more traffic, so this was a logical place for the OP to start. I also tend to think the forum is a much nicer and friendlier place if we don't derogate others' musical preferences. smile

News to me that the ABF is only, or even mostly, classical. Hm.

And to the OP: I'd guess a lot of folks here will like that piece, so if you do find it's name you might let the ABF know smile

Outsmarted? No. Enlightened about the nature and mores of the Adult Beginners Forum? I hope so.

Thanks a bunch, Rob!

Kind of disappointed now as I was hoping it to be something like "Dragon Crisis - World". :-)

Dunno but the 4 samples weren`t much different from each other were they? (maybe the last was)

I can hear the difference quite clearly when I'm playing. But I'm one of the few lost causes that like the 4th sample - Modern Piano. That's the one that I always use when I play. It sounds good in my room.

I like the vocals on the original Coldplay version better, but the piano on the Embrace version is much better. Guess I'll have to buy both on iTunes. whome Thanks for the id, ROB!
