My family never visited Portugal; I did, but 25 years ago. I have to organize a nice holiday for all of us!

C'mon Ragdoll, pick a plane and come to Lisbon. Why not? Oh like their gonna give me a passport! Just kidding I have one. If I could save the money in time it would be a go. I don't believe in living on charge cards. It took me years to save for my AP. Just my house and car now are on credit. This is a necessity I guess.
Ragdoll At first, she only flew when she thought no one was watching.

If you start saving now you've probably got a year - maybe even 13 months to save..... it could work out! and if JimF came too....wow, that would be splendid! and if you guys need MORE time to save,..... keep in mind 2015 will be Italy (and there is an Expo on in Milan that year too).

I hope to get there in 2014, I could use it on a stop over to my native country (Scotland). I have also wanted to do one of the Camino walks since first hearing about them. Either way Italy in 2015 sounds good too.

So it's July 13 / 14. I'm missing it by a couple of weeks (sobbing!). I will be in UK for the week of June 24 and can stay over next week for fun but cannot extend it one more week. I will just roam around London and come home on the 4th of July. Anyway, have fun.

Ooh, I can make Lisbon, I think! I'll be in Madrid that summer and it's only a skip hop and a jump from there to Lisbon!

Perhaps a little late to the party, but I've just booked my train ticket! I should arrive 11:18 in the morning and depart 20:42 the same day. Hopefully that's enough time, including dinner.

Hey guys, I just read this entire topic. I think it's a great idea! I just had my first lesson this week so I guess you could say I'm not even a beginner yet I just joined this forum and it's too soon for me to go to a piano party because I can not play anything yet and I don't know the people here yet. I like the idea of meeting people with the same passion for the instrument though. I hope by next year I'll be able to play something and join you guys Have fun !

It's fine, Allard! I live really close to the train station. Remind me to send you a PM with my address before I leave for my scouting trip next Tuesday.
ETA: good to hear of another possible candidate who will help us turn the EPP into a (hopefully) recurring tradition! Welcome to PW!

Plodding through piano music at a frustratingly slow pace since 9/2012.
Standard disclaimer: I teach many things. Piano is not one of them.

So I was consulting Google Maps to see how to get from the train station to Saranoya's place. Apparently there's a street named after me, Allardstraat

I'll miss the 1st EPP, but I'll be in Brussels on 20/21 June (1 week after your EPP). Maybe I still go to hear the "echoes" of your performances...
