Finally!!! Decent recorded sound worthy of your playing! It's so wonderful to hear the nuances! Gorgeous music! Wowsers!

I am very glad I took time away from the piece (almost a month now). The mess is one thing, I was injured and sleep deprived, but I can see so many things more clearly now. I will hopefully record this professionally in the next two years and do it properly!

Over the years I've discovered that "time away" from a piece is usually a very good thing - as is adequate rest. ha

This is a work that you should definitely keep in your repertoire !! Of course there will be many future opportunities to continue to fine tune what you have already accomplished here. It will just get better and better!!

Hi, Pogo -- Of the presentations to which you and OSK have introduced me, I find yours the most lyrical and logically argued of all. In general, I really think Rachmaninov is at his best and most comfortable in the realm of art song and opera, and your approach really emphasizes the ravishing singing lines in both Mvs 1 and 2. Mv 3 I find somewhat more problematic, although I'm inclined to blame Rachmaninov more than your interpretation of it -- at 16 min or so, I really feel that it goes on too long, and loses some of the tight focus that is much better realized in 1 and 2. But, even given this, you have demonstrated that is at least a significant and at times tremendously epic major work.

I agree with another comment -- this is really YOUR work, and thanks for sharing this!
