Thought I'd share my elation over my soon to be delivered 5th and FINAL piano; Totally restored 1912 Mason & Hamlin BB. Over 60 years ago my Dad got my 1st piano, an old clunker out of a church basement (later, we found to be home to a family of mice!)then to the Baldwin Hamilton after the Old Man decided he might get his moneys' worth out of the lessons. Moving along to the Knabe grand and then the Yamaha G3. The M&H scheduled for today or tomorrow. Haven't been this excited since puberty! It's been a long trip!

I've been in the business for over 50 years...

The M&H BB is my overall favorite piano.

You're gonna LOVE it!

Congrats.

I'm with Steve. The "BB" is one of the great piano designs. You'll love playing it.

"Imagine it in all its primatic colorings, its counterpart in our souls - our souls that are great pianos whose strings, of honey and of steel, the divisions of the rainbow set twanging, loosing on the air great novels of adventure!" - William Carlos Williams

As you can see, my BB is a 1918. The BBs from this era are simply to die for! I know exactly how you feel getting yours. I felt just like that ten years ago when I got mine. I felt it was the find of a lifetime.

Enjoy your new piano!!! I know you will! Heck, I put the lid all the way up on mine a few days ago and fell in love with it all over again!!!!

The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem wink

Truly well put. It is remarkable how a fine piano will do that.

Congratulations on your new Mason & Hamlin BB. Pictures of the delivery are always fun to see and it's a wonderful way to re-live the excitement.
