It starts when you load this webpage. I've heard it in many TV shows. It's a huge cliche. Does it have a name?

Creepy, isn't it? It's an old game I used to play many years ago. That music used to freak me out.

It's two chords with a mediant relationship. Used all the time and probably improvised/composed specifically for the game.

LH:

C# G# A A E F C# G# A A E F

RH:

rest E C# rest C A rest E C# rest C A

Over and over again...

Don't know about that. I've heard this all over the place. It's a super cliched track.

It has a bit of a 1960's spy show vibe but I can't place it to one in particular.

Piano is hard work from beginning to forever.

FWIW I've never heard this thing in my life grin ....and I think it sounds right what K said: This is 'nothing' -- something that was just created for this genre. I might think otherwise if it seemed at all familiar from anything else, but it doesn't.

Maybe so. I guess it could be from a media library or something like that.

Could you post some other examples? Maybe if we heard the complete piece it'd be easier to place...

DITTO. thumb

This is simply derivative of (copied or adapted from) the "type" of music that used in old TV spy shows (i.e., Mission Impossible, etc.).

That's the thing. Now that I think about it I realize that it's probably not a piece. Just something from a media library, like the "Wilhelm Scream" that you hear in just about every action movie.
