A friend of mine who is studying music production invited me in to record some piano. So I got to spend a couple of hours with a Steinway. How I wish I could take it home with me! I've never felt such a connection with myself and the music coming out of my fingers and feeling the vibrations of the piano is quite something. My Roland electric does not compare...

Nice playing!

Heh, this is exactly what I'm going to do when I finish my real first piece, chopin nocturne in c minor. Renting a beautiful grand steinway for an half a day at my birthday for 200 euro.

Me, a steinway and a tune.... I could not think of a bigger birthday present. grin

thumb The video style was perfectly suited for that haunting Satie piece. Wonderful! (Didn't you have a difficult time making the adjustment from a Roland digital to a Steinway grand? On the other hand, maybe it was harder to go back the other way. wink )

Thanks everyone.

That's sounds like the best birthday present paper clip! And good choice of piece too. I've put it on the back burner for now as I'm determined to finally learn how to play Clair de lune... But the nocturne is another haunting piece.

Mary bee, I have played a number of uprights and the occasional baby grand but yeah going back to the digital was a tad disappointing as much as I love it!
