So sorry. I didn't know her well but always enjoyed her posts and the way she could bring civility and kindness to a discussion when people were getting a bit hotheaded.

Although I've never been a major part of the pianoworld community I always admired apple's contributions. It was apparent from her posts that she was a kind and compassionate person. Such sad news.

My sincere condolences to Apple's family and loved ones. Like many others who have posted, I'm an infrequent lurker here these days, but would echo those who experienced the unfailing warmth, kindness and humour of her posts, and appreciated her willingness to enter into PM discussion and eagerness to calm things when they got heated.
Judging by the reaction of those who only met her on the internet, I imagine people lucky enough to have met her in the flesh are feeling a dreadful sense of loss and hope the good wishes of us all are a comfort.
With best wishes and deepest sympathy

Like so many, I, too, never met Apple but I enjoyed her comments and observations and feel a sad loss that a forum friend has been lost. I know she is loved by many here and the music she will now enjoy can only be heavenly.

Please chaps ... enough of the mourning weeds ... I think dear apple would like us to remember her for all the magical input which enriched our lives.

She will always hold a special place in my heart.

What a sad shock to come to on PW. I always enjoyed reading her posts and loved the way she'd write "apple" in a different language in her sig. Still shocked and disturbed.

I am very saddened by the news although I am far away, and completely respect and admire such a vital and wonderful lady. I found her accounts of church organ an inspiration. She has given a lot of her joy of life and I am finding words a weak substitute. I think of her family and offer my prayers.

Being an infrequent visitor to the PW forums nowadays, I've only today learned of the passing of dear apple on the date of my own birthday in January.

Though never having had the privilege of meeting Mary, I too am heartened to have known her for many years (quotation marks omitted deliberately) and to have interacted with her in many a thread. A new star shines in the heavens for this lovely, inspirational lady.

In the language of my native Wales, "Cysgu'n dawel, Apple"..... Sleep peacefully

Hi Apple, I hope it's bright and sunny where you are now and hope you are still making beautiful music on your piano. You are still remembered.

Dear Apple,

My prayers are with you and your family.
I really enjoyed your solo video on
Piano World. You have a truly musical
spirit.

Many Blessings,

I've been away from the forum for most of this year, upon returning it was nice to read post from several familiar names and saddening to happen upon this thread and hear the news about apple*.

Whilst I'd never met her in person, her posts and contributions to this forum were always positive and (very grin) enthusiastic, a loss to both her family and this forum.

I haven't been to Piano World regularly for a while now, so this is all news to me. I remember Apple's posts well. I always thought the screen name was cute. She sounds like she was a sweet person in life. Reading through the posts on this thread brings tears to my eyes. May she rest in peace. Condolences to her family and friends.
