The Hallet Davis & Co piano I've found is 1999, 5'9" - considering buying it from the original owner. Referred to her by piano technician.

The model is G-82 -- I have not been able to find anything online about this model. Does anyone know about this model? What would be a comparable new piano to this one (for comparison purposes)

BuilderGirl, the best used piano money that you can spend is that spent for a pre-purchase inspection by a certified piano tech *who has no affiliation with the seller.*

Techs sometimes value pianos more highly than would a potential buyer. IMO that's because they love their work and love the instruments. That's a good thing, but please remember that you're not a career piano person. Make your best deal, just as you would with any other purchase - having in mind that if you sell, the tech won't be the buyer. If your tech wants to be a grump, that's his business;-) A referring tech may not like your offer, but if you are successful, he'll most likely service it anyway.

We love piano search stories, please keep us updated.
