Here is the full recording I promised

https://soundcloud.com/debrucey/sets/beethoven-piano-concerto-no-1

This was such and awesome experience laugh
Listening with hindsight there is a lot I'm not happy with about my playing, but I felt really good about how it went afterwards because I was so terrified it would be a complete disaster hehe.

First to post!

I haven't got the time to listen, but promise to and will repost!

Well done in any case! That's more than I have done (to play with a full orchestra in the States)...

Congratulations on performing such a substantial work with a full symphony orchestra. And you play it very well. The orchestra is good too.

My only criticism is that, your playing Is too shy and gentle for Beethoven and the outer movements could be a bit faster.
IMO, Beethoven requires a tough, bold, cornered German style playing.

I enjoyed listening to it. Thanks for sharing.

You're definitely right. I was being quite conservative. Someone afterwards said that they liked the 'Haydnesque' approach that I took, lol. Not quite what I was going for, but never mind. Was a learning experience.

Congrats on playing very well! And getting to perform with an orchestra.

I do like fast movements of Beethoven's music to be rather quick, with a bit more feeling of "going at" the keyboard, but you still played very well and it was lovely!
