This is my first concerto experience with an orchestra. I hope you like it - the orchestra is not very good but I enjoyed playing with an orchestra very much.

Orchestra is terrible, don't know how you can stand to play with them.

You play the opening quite well. It is much cleaner than some professional recordings I've heard. Your technique is definitely at the level of this piece, or more.

I'm not particularly impressed as musicality goes; I think maybe you'd sound better with a decent orchestra. Try to play more into the keys, and hear every note. Some of the octaves need to be practiced more.

Right now I'm watching the coda, with the descending chromatic octaves marked Presto. I think you could get even more passion and fire into those octaves. That passage should grab the listener's attention. Try to work on doing a big gradual crescendo through that whole last 30 seconds.

Keep working on it. You have the ability to play it extremely well.

Thank you Polyphonist. Actually I played this with an orchestra after studying the piece for three or four months. As I progressed I understood how it is difficult. I agree with all your critics. The orchestra, I believe, also affected my performance. But this is not an excuse. I have very much to do with this concerto. Thank you very much.

It is a great pleasure to watch your progress over the last few years that you've been posting recordings. It must be quite thrilling to play such a piece even with a less than ideal orchestra. I wish you many musical successes in the future.

Poly: I think you were being unduly hard on both on CanCakmur and the orchestra. I'd be happy to play with such an orchestra.

I don't see why...I complimented him several times and gave fairly mild criticism, which is the accepted method of giving advice on recordings. The orchestra, well maybe.

This is a very promising performance. Especially only after four months.

I too think that a more into keys playing is required in the filigree passages. When practicing alone, one can play such passages with a light, over the keys touch. It might sound good and appropriate too at that time. But when playing with the orchestra, because of the sound of the orchestra, the pianist must play every note in those passages distinctly, firmly and a bit louder than practicing alone. So that they are not masked by the orchestra.
On a side note, I prefer a more still pianist when not playing.
