Crosby's Piano Bar open for business

CROSSLAKE — There’s a new piano bar in town to give Brainerd lakes area residents another place to go for live entertainment as well as offering them a chance to share their musical talent.

Crosby’s Piano Bar is located off Crow Wing County Road 66 in Crosslake — not Crosby. The Crosby part of the name is after the owner, Terry Crosby. The piano bar, which opened Sept. 19, is open Sundays for the football games and then from 5 p.m. to close Monday through Saturday.

Crosby said Mondays will be Blues Monday Jam with Jambalaya and Corn Bread; Tuesdays will be bluegrass jam; Wednesdays will be open jam; Thursday is jazz night; and the sing-a-long piano bar will be every Friday-Saturday led by either Steve Anderson or Shannon Webster.

Crosby’s Piano Bar includes an organ from the 1800s and a 1920 piano that can be played by customers. Crosby said anyone may play the piano or bring in an instrument to play anytime, but not during the Friday-Saturday night sing-a-longs. Anderson or Webster will lead the weekend sing-a-longs, where they’ll play the piano and sing at the antique 10-seat piano bar, where people can sit around the piano and join in the fun.
