My friend and forums member concert pianist Jeffrey Biegel sent me this email last night.
I'm hoping someone knows a tech who can help.
If you do, please post it here or contact me directly (frank@pianoworld.com)

Hi Frank!

How are you?

Say, an elderly lady in Aventura, FL, has a Chickering Ampico player piano with lots of piano rolls--Lhevinne included! Her late husband built it, but he passed away in 2012. Very sad. She is Lee Wiegand, whose music I recorded for her legacy book. She would like someone who can repair the Ampico in her home, and I immediately thought to ask you. Can you post something reaching out in PW to see if there is anyone in the USA that knows how to fix pianos fitted with the Ampico system?

Best!

Jeffrey

I am a player tech located in southeast Florida, Ft Lauderdale, Miami, Palm Beach area. I was co-owner of the Duffy Player Piano Co. of Palisades Park, NJ (Later Albanese Pianos) for ten years. When my partner passed on, I continued the business as A & T Piano Company in Lodi. Duffy's sold new Aeolian players and we did a huge business in Pianocorder installations and restorations. I have relocated down here in Florida and continue my player work on a small scale. I am qualified in the repair and restoration of Ampico, Duo-Art and upright players of all makes.
