It's Fun to Play the Piano ... Please Pass It On!
A bit off topic, but thought y'all might enjoy. Not a bad way to spend ones birthday
The "Mighty Wurlitzer" theater organ featured at the Organ Stop restaurant in Mesa, AZ, claims to be the largest Wurlitzer theater organ in the world. With nearly 6000 pipes, a custom upgraded/redesigned 4 manual console modeled after the largest "Fox Special" console Wurlitzer ever built, 422 stop tabs, 113 action pistons, 32 note pedal board, 327 control switches, 60 hp worth of blowers, and full midi integration I guess its kind of hard to imagine its not The console is also integrated with a variety of percussion instruments around the room, including an upright honky tonk piano and grand piano. See not so OT after all
Definitely worth a stop if you are in the Phoenix area!
Been there a few times myself, in their current location and when they were in the old building (which is now a doctor's office I believe). Try this: go outside the building where they have the large red pipes (in glass) when they're going and you can feel the ground rumbling. It even makes your heart rumble. It's really quite a near experience.

I'll have to check that out next time! Apparently that's the 32' Wurlitzer diaphone, with an output of 16Hz! You can definitely feel the whole building shake when they light that puppy up There is (was) apparently an organ in Atlantic city with a 64' (8Hz) diaphone!
That alone is a reason to visit Pheonix. Thank you for posting.]
I also found this news piece on them:
