Mark... - I enjoyed your selection and your performance of this cool piece. It has a nice, romantic feel to it and a catchy melodic line although I think I'd let the final chord ring out a bit at the end. Speaking of ringing, your piano really sounds good on this recording - full, lush and with a gutsy bass. Nice sound.

I'm quite tempted to study Debussy's Claire de Lune next. The only trouble is its a piece I find that effects me emotionally..

LarryShone~ Most excellent go at Song for Guy! Great job on your first video - it just gets better and more fun from here. Look forward to more!

Thanks for the comments on that SomeStandard from before, it is called, All of You, by Cole Porter. To update the file is next.

larry.. isn't a song that effects you emotionally a good song to learn? wont that be more motivation instead of a hindrance in the progress?

stumbler: thank you for your comments. It's just the way i learn it. I let natural progression of the speed as time goes. So i dont really force it to be faster. to be honest, i'm quite satisfied to get to my current speed as i have set a very low expectation of learning this piece. But of course i would hope for the best that the more i play it the closer it'll come to the real tempo. I'll be just as happy to see improvements in the months ahead even if i probably will never reach a performing level for this piece. smile

Yes that is true, but Im hyper sensitive, certain pieces can bring me to tears! And yet I prefer melancholy music, I favour the minor key, and I love blues music, cant stand happy pop music!

ty.beginner I didn't mean that you were playing it too slow. I was confessing that I lack the self-restraint to stick to a tempo I can manage. The result being that I have a tendency to make ugly messes.

ty.beginner, I didn't find your post negative, but worried that my post might be have been taken negatively. This piano bar has a welcoming positive atmosphere, and I worried I might have unintentionally disturbed that. Please feel welcome and participate freely. smile
