On craigslist I found a kurzweil mark 5 for about $600. The guy said it is a piano from 1998 but it is still a good piano. I tried to do some research on the piano but I couldn't find any information on it. I just want to know if it is worth it. I want to know if it has good hammer grade keys, and good sound and just if it is really a good deal. Also I like how some of the yamaha pianos have a sensitivity setting where you can change the sensitivity of the keys from hard to medium to low I doubt this piano would have it but just wondering. Thanks!

The Mark 5 is an excellent piano (IMHO) - at the time, it was one of the best digital pianos on the market. It has a Fatar Key Action (Hammer keys) and you can modify the touch sensitivity settings. The Kurzweil sampled sounds in this instrument still sound fantastic today. As long as everything is working (try all the buttons, sliders, pedals, play every key, etc...) I think this is a fair deal. This may even be a very low price if the Mark 5 you are looking at is in a real wood finish.

I hope this helps?!

Kind regards,

Ok thanks a lot. And by the way it does have a nice dark red glossy finish to it.
