Dear PW members,

Both the Member Recordings sub forum of the Pianist Corner and the main Member Recordings forums usually have far less number of viewers compared to the Pianist Corner forum. Though this is a somewhat expected and normal situation, it might lead to some of the recordings being unnoticed, or some of them getting fewer views than they would normally deserve.

Recently a young talented pianist from Denmark posted a very fine performance of Beethoven’s op.110 Sonata, a performance that grabs the listeners from the very first bars and not lets them stop listening until the very end. The experience is sometimes intense even bringing a few teardrops to one’s eyes. He also has a very musical (and breathtaking towards the end) rendition of Chopin’s op.48 no.1 Nocturne, and a very finely articulated and phrased performance of Haydn Sonata no.56.

Finally a quick search on his name brings up a wonderful performance of the 3rd movement from Beethoven Piano Concerto no.1 performed in 2009 with a Danish orchestra.

Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome one of the noteworthy PW pianists:

GP95

Please feel free and encouraged to share other young PW pianists on this thread or create new threads to support them.

Thank you all.

Hakki,
I think a lot of it is that we're most interested in hearing the playing of active and well-known members, less interested in someone who just newly comes on with a recording and who's basically a stranger. Actually I'd say his Op. 110 thread did get a good amount of attention considering that he's someone we don't really know. But it's good when someone like you notices something like this and brings it more to our attention. I'm listening to the opening of his Op. 110 and I agree that it's superb and very special.

Mark,

You bring out very good points. And you are righteously doing so.
However, this wonderful community can also help noteworthy young pianists by encouraging their hard efforts.

Yes, it is indeed Members Recordings forum and members are expected to be active on these forums. But can there be an exception for talented young pianists, even though they are only coming with a new recording occasionally. Just a thought.

BTW, it is nice to hear that you have enjoyed the performance.

Thank you for pointing this out, Hakki, as I rarely venture into the Members Recording section. The op 110 is extraordinary, particularly for a pianist at his age.
