I've been obssesed with this piece for quite some time and finally I decided I want to learn it. The problem is I don't know where to get the sheet music for it. I've looked up a couple of Couperin books on amazon but they don't contain this piece. Do any of you know where I may find this one? A book is preferred, as I don't like to purchase online sheets. Also, if its a free online copy than I'm all for it. Lol

Thank you!

It seems to be in this volume.

That's the first of two volumes (or actually they call them "Series") of the complete keyboard works. I have the 2nd volume (which I got because it has "Le Tic Toc Choc," which I fell in love with from Sokolov's video) and checked to see if your piece is in there. It isn't, so I checked online in Series One. On p. 150 is a piece called "Rondeau: Passacaille."

Whoa! Thank you very much! That book looks awesome! I think I over looked that book when I was searching.

I'm curious: How did you come across the piece? It's not something we'd usually just bump into! grin

I heard it on Pandora a couple of years ago. It caught my attention right away. It's a very beautiful piece. I love the opening melody. And the way it progresses is very elegant and somewhat mysterious. It's something special, that piece.

Also, I learned a couple François Couperin pieces before I even learned Bach. The first little one I learned is one called Le Petite Rien or something like that. He's kinda underrated, in my opinion.
