Hope I wasn't bidding against someone here, but I just won the ESX for $255. Seems like a pretty good deal to me since the stand and bench came with it, too.

Now I'll have a portable decent quality piano to travel with.

LOL!! laugh laugh

Congratulations, OnTheWeb-- sounds like you got a good deal indeed. And the good news is that even if it turns out to be a lemon, it's only $255. Seems like a pretty good risk-benefit ratio to me.

They seem to have been right around $1000, maybe a little less. I saw some old adds where ESX closeouts used to go around $600. The seller will warranty it for 2 years for $25. If it breaks or can't be repaired at their expense, including they pay shipping, the full purchase price is refunded.

There were 9 bidders, I didn't think it would go for that low, I thought it was worth right around $350 -- you can't even buy a casioPx110 for that. Plus it has all the jacks and computer ports I need. In a few days we'll find out how I did.

Hi OnTheWeb,

I'm a newbie here on the form. I just purchased a used Kawai ES-X from a local pawn shop. I have to say that the action is good; I'm getting addicted to this DP!

I'm interested in learning how things are going on your end with the ES-X.

By the way, I haven't been able to find a music rest for my ES-X. I guess it's hard to find accessories for such an old board. Are you using any music rest? If so, can you provide some details?

Thanks.

@LarryShone Thanks (if that was addressed to me :-?)

@o0Ampy0o Indeed, that particular post was from 2007 :-( Thanks for pointing that out.
