Weiyan - I like your slower tempo on this piece. Your piano has a cool, honky-tonk tone. I bet it would sound great busting out some Jerry Lee Lewis.

Hello David. Did I detect a trace of Pink Floyd amongst the Winter Romance? It really does sound like she`s moved on, and you`re a tad miffed, man . . . .

Both songs were well played on a lovely sounding instrument!

Inlanding - normally I'm not a big Einaudi fan but you bring an intimacy to this piece that is very appealing. I have pretty much liked everything you have posted here in the ABF. You have such a wonderful, warm style.

SwissMS - my favorite of yours so far. You have a good feel for this style - you let the tune breath and did not rush through it.

Elssa - fabulous arrangement of a great tune. The Elssalisation of this tune is a perfect match.

David Ruzicka - I listened to both pieces and must say I enjoyed them very much - the recording was first rate. You have composed a very accessible tune. Well done.

I was inspired by Elssa's submission last month of If I Loved You from Carousel to try a version of this great song. I figured I might as well add my other favorite song from the musical and do a medley of If I Loved You and You'll Never Walk Alone.

David
- Winter Romance - beautiful piece, poignant
- Czerny - I've mostly ignored Czerny, but this prompts me to look into his works.

BillM, two lovely pieces. I enjoyed "If I Loved You" all the more because of its inclusion last month. Smooth segue into "You'll Never Walk Alone", another classic.

David~ Those were two very nicely played pieces. Your original was wonderfully composted and your Czerny was fantastic. Great to see you at the bar again!

Bill~ That medley of two is simply fantastic. You continually create wonderful arrangements and express them so very well. You outdo yourself every month!

ladypayne: Your arrangement is very beautiful. I must say that I would enjoy it even more without accompanying instrument but like I said: Beautiful piece of music, very well played.

Weiyan: Nice piece of music. Well done. Also fun to watch your piano working smile

Inlanding: I'm not a big fan of Einaudi but this one got me. Very nice playing. Also your piano has a beautiful sound.

peterws: Exactly the type of music I love. And very well played I must say.

SwissMS: Nice, calm and very pleasant to listen piece of music. Good job!

Elssa: Wow, are you sure you're not professional pianist? smile It's very good, really.

BillM: Your performance is flawless and very emotional. I played it several times. Thumbs up.

David: I view your playing. They are lovely as expected.

Bill: Don't know how to express my feeling of the singing. You sing with your heart. Thank your for introducing me Jerry Lee Lewis. I don't know how to play rock piano yet.

David - Winter Romance is a lovely composition, sad and pensive at the same time. The Czerny was very well played as well.

BillM- I liked the medley very much. The transition from one to the next was seamless. You really put your heart into your singing.

I thought I'd give you poor folks a rest from my original tunes.

You know, I invariably end up posting a different song to the one I was intending. I struggle with something for a while and then turn to another song for relief. As I did with this one. (Though I will come back to what I was working on). I've always loved the song and the haunting nature of the melody and lyrics. I was also pleased to work out some piano chords as an alternative to the finger picked guitar part - but because the song was clearly so powerfully personal to John Lennon I felt like I was 'trespassing' and just kind of stopped where I was. But I figured I'd post it anyway (it's short).

Fine entertainment coming from the bar this month which I've come to expect.

Great Einaudi piece Glen. I'd never heard this before. It is very nice. Great job with it.

Noticeable improvement each time I hear you Weiyan. Nicer recordings these days too. Good job.

The joy is really well done Peter. Working on this one myself and we've been chatting about it in the Sonata analysis thread. I was thinking of you actually when I started with it and figured it would be right up your alley. Thanks for sharing it.

Fabulous singing Bill and Newman. It is always a nice treat to hear your singing performances. Both, very good and enjoyable listens.

ALL ... are SWonderful (fabulous tune) and I'm enjoying very much.

I've not had much to contribute of late. But always a keen follower. With that said though, I just received a new piano yesterday and of course, I'm busting to try it. It still needs tuning (noticeable) and that will be in two weeks.

My excuse for this one, is it is just a sound test. I didn't work much on the recording of it and a few rough areas. It's an easy Bossa not demanding perfection, so there isn't any. But, should suffice for getting a sense of the new machine.

So here is, and hope you enjoy:

Newman - a fine rendition of this often overlooked song. As usual, you nailed the vocal. Your Lennon is outstanding.

Greener - you caught a nice groove with this gentle Bossa Nova. You really have a good sense of rhythm.
