Greetings,

I couldn't resist posting one more. This is a year 2002 recording of Liszt's Resignazione. It could have been interpreted much better - but I believe it is nice to hear thanks to the superb piano technician's work with the Wapinized Steinway D and also the super-sensitive microphone we used.

There is no video of the playing to go with the audio. The image is of beautiful Gustaf Vasa kyrka here in Stockholm.

Mvh,
Michael

This is way too slow. The coherence of the piece is broken, both by the very slow tempo, also by not emphasizing some of the notes as needed.
I prefer it played at around 1:30 or 2:00 minutes at most.

I agree with Hakki. I feel like I'm waiting forever for each next note.

I've never heard this piece -- it sounds like one of the very spare late Liszt compositions, and for me is really quite beautiful and eloquent on its own terms. Thanks for sharing this!

Yes it could have been interpreted better - no doubt about it.

Mvh,
Michael
