I am thinking of starting some groups with some of my homeschool students who need ensemble experience. I have a colleague who teaches strings in my area. Just wondering, and I know this is regional, what can I charge for coaching? Is it comparable to what I charge for private lessons or accompanying? Any input is appreciated.

I'd charge the same hourly rate per person, or only slightly less. Doing ensemble work requires more/different preparation than one-on-one lessons. In addition, you may need to block off anywhere from 1-2 hrs in order for the rehearsals to be productive, so that will be eating up private teaching time. You will want to offer it as a class and have students pay for the whole semester (or some other period of time) upfront.
