Bravo!

I've heard only a little Szymanowski(I think the only live performance I heard was Fialkowska) but I thought this was an amazing piece. Is it performed frequently? It seems like it should be because of it's obvious(at least to me) appeal.

The "Myths" op 30 are probably the most frequently performed Szymanowski piece, and one that found its way to the repertoire rather quickly, too. The violin wizardry was worked out with Paul Kochanski's help (who also worked with the composer on the 1st violin concerto - wonderful violinist who unfortunately died young, don't miss his Brahms 3rd violin sonata with Rubinstein), and apparently Bartok was greatly influenced by the Myths when writing his own 2nd violin sonata, some years later. I'll be performing the whole cycle a few times in the upcoming weeks - looking forward!
