Hi, I'm an adult ( 38 years young ) coming back to the piano after many years of sabbatical... I think I'm at an intermediate level and I'm looking for a teacher helping me to grow to an advanced level in the next several years... right now I'm back studying what I was doing when I did suspend my studies in my teen years... bach english suites, beethoven pastoral sonata, some mozart sonatas....

I'm looking for a teacher able to work with me to clean up my technique and help me to tackle the double notes, polyphony and speed... and all the rest :-) in order to widen my possible repertoire and be faster learning it.

I live in 77077 and I work in the north side of town... I'm usually available every afternoon after 4.30 p.m. and weekends.... the teacher should be a guy because my SO is utterly jealous of other ladies :-)... I love the piano, but I love my wife more.

If you can help or know somebody that can, please leave a message here or send me a PM.

thanks a lot
Matteo

Try this: http://tx.mtna.org/

If you scroll down the page, you'll see the contact for two different music teacher associations in Houston. They should have a referral service.

Hi, Matteo,
I am a teacher in Houston, west side (female, however.). If you will visit www.katymusicteachers.org, you will find a list of teachers and you can contact them through the site. I also recommend Timothy Boaz, who is a member of Forum MTA.

Best wishes!

Thanks, I'm messaging with Timothy as I'm typing here.
I also got in touch with Gustavo Bianchi... he's moving from Austin to Houston and teaching in both places currently ( just in case somebody else need the same information as I do )
