I saw an old post re: a piano cabinet Zuul finished a few years ago. I've PM'ed but haven't heard back (it was a long shot), but I was wondering if anyone else on the forums have made their own piano cabinet for their digital keyboard? I am looking for anything that is better than just a basic stand; the closer it looks to an upright the better.

I have a Yamaha P105, but am indifferent to what keyboard the specs are built for, I can adjust measurements as necessary.

Thanks in advance!

Unless you are a woodworker I would just buy a console type DP. I doubt a piano cabinet is something you can build in an afternoon in your garage.

Why not just use an old upright? You can get junk pianos for free. Strip out the action, refinish the cabinet, drop in a keyboard, rig up the pedals ... and you'll have a fine cabinet for not much money.

I made my own stand, but it hides nothing except the chords, really.
So probably not what you're lookin for...

I think this would be a great do it yerself project. Either for the home in which case, you could utilise an old upright with candelabras; or, if you played say, in a restaurant, you could knock up a hardwood (reinforced) baby grand . . . suitably painted, (glossy black heh heh) it`d fool a lot o` folk. And put a smile on more than a few faces. Call it a "Dusseldorfer"

NOBODY would quibble at the sound. That would be the best bit!

Hi, this has been on my mind too. I'm considering buying a stage piano but it will probably be in our living room 100% of the time.

In the hi-fi world there is a lot of talk about WAF, wife acceptance factor. I know that a stage piano on a x-stand and two speakers on stands will score a very low WAF. So ideally I would like a nice "something" with amplifier and speakers to just put a stage piano into, preferably with lid also.

Does this product exist?

This young man plays good, on a fine instrument, but I would say his setup has low WAF.
