There's an intriguing thread on this forum titled "Dating of a Bluthner Grand". Has anyone in this thread tried that? What would you use for an opening line? How would you dress? What movie would you take a Bluthner Grand too? I confess, I'm at a loss.

I always wear barn boots when negotiating with Fräulein Bluthner. Cash transactions are always appropriate in certain circumstances.

I avoided posting anything in the Bluthner thread which I think shows sterling character. I've sidetracked enough serious threads as it is. In this, I finally showed some class. That thread just begged to be busted, but I resisted. I'm so proud of myself!!!

Like you, I laughed, and expected the thread to take an undignified turn. I appreciate all the dating advice I've received subsequently, but some of it has me scratching my head a bit. Apparently it's a delicate, confusing subject.

It is so much easier to split an infinitive that to split one's sides.
