Can you do this to make your piano better?

1) upgrade that cheap plastic pedal that you include with your piano.

I think it's better for them to ship a cheap pedal, and let people spend a few more bucks on a pedal that they pick out. What if I don't like the pedal Casio charges extra for? What if I plan to upgrade to the 3-pedal?

I think what would be even better is a triple pedal that doesn't require the wooden furniture stand.
