Thanks for posting these, Thracozaag! Serves to remind us that there is a "school" of post-Lisztian Romantic writing from the late 19th and early 20th century that isn't programmed much any more. As classy as Bortkiewicz's writing is, I have to admit I don't relate much to it -- it does feel "dated" to my ear, much like McDowell's writing here in the US. But, it's still great to hear a concert-level pianist perform them with panache. Again, thanks for sharing!

I'd already listened to, and thoroughly enjoyed, the Bortkiewicz and Blumenfeld. The Catoire Etude-Fantastique is really quite a piece. Great playing! Always a pleasure to hear your recordings.
